Energy Central Campus Expands Board to Deliver Clean Energy Workforce of the Future

Energy Central Campus (ECC) is delighted to announce that its Board has been expanded to include key employer and education provider representatives. The newly expanded Board reflects the company’s commitment to bringing together leading businesses in the clean energy sector with key training and education providers across the Northeast of England, to develop high-quality, credible, and relevant training programmes for those looking to enter the clean energy sector.

The new appointments include Danielle Lane, Director of Offshore Development UK & Ireland at RWE Renewables UK, Tom Nightingale, UK Supply Chain Manager, Renewables at Equinor and James Young, Chief Strategy and Compliance Officer, at JDR Cable Systems. They bring a wealth of industry expertise to their roles and will help to ensure that the voice of industry directly influences training provision to meet the skills requirements of businesses in the clean energy sector.

In addition, ECC has also welcomed Professor Jane Robinson, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Engagement & Place at Newcastle University and Dr Shaid Mahmood, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Durham University to the expanded Board. Their expertise in education and innovation will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing the educational strategy and curriculum, ultimately benefiting both the clean energy sector and the local community.
