We recently caught up with Sharon Foster, Operations Manager at the Energy Central Learning Hub (ECLH), to find out more about what is involved in her role as part of the Energy Central Campus (ECC) Team.

  1. What is involved in your role at ECC?

    As Operations Manager, I am responsible for the facilities management of the Energy Central Learning Hub, with an oversight of Health and Safety. Once the building is operational, I will also be responsible for facilitating STEM engagement across the region.

  2. What made you join the ECC Team?

    A passion to embed STEM with learners and bridge the skills gap in the clean energy sector. I am excited to be part of this new venture that is aiming to regenerate not only the town in which I live but also the North East region.

  3. How does your professional background support you in this role?

    I am an accomplished scientist with many years of experience in scientific research and teaching provision in the higher education sector.

  4. What are you most looking forward to in this role?

    Engaging young minds and opening the door to opportunity, whilst supporting and facilitating the development of skills across the clean energy sector. And of course starting this new venture with Paul Valentine, Head of Operations at the ECLH!
